The Comunes of Italy Magazine, devoted to Italian Genealogy, is published bi-monthly. Each issue features a province in Italy, meaning that issue will contain every ounce of information you need to research in that province, (postal codes, Roman Catholic church addresses in the province, Archivio di Stato address, Tourist Office address, Newspaper Addresses, census info, etc.,) with some provincial recipes and history included for good measure. Each issue contains numerous articles of interest to all readers regardless of their province of research.

It's a vital tool for the Italian genealogist.

This magazine is published six times per year. The subscription price for ONE YEAR (6 issues) is $25.00/US in the USA, $30/US to Canada, and $45.00 to foreign destinations.

Was it your Nonna, or aunt, or the lady down the street with the Italian accent that opened your eyes to some of the ways of the Italian Witches? Was your mother a strega? So much of this tradition, folklore and family history is being lost as the generations pass and little has been done to preserve what is precious in helping us remember and honor our Italian ancestors. This list is about Italian family traditions of witchcraft, spells, supertitions, stories, recipes, herbs, and any other familial antidotes or tradition that the members might want to share. There will be a web page created under www.MamaStrega.com eventually to help store the memories. While this is geared to mostly Americans with Italian families, all with a true interest in Italian folklore and family traditions are welcome.

All types of stregheria are encouraged to join and welcomed, as well as those with just an interest in the subject.

Flaming won't be allowed, nor will bigoted posters. This is about remembering and honoring a past that will soon be forgotten, if it has not already.
